Exploring St. Vincent & the Grenadines
Getting here
St. Vincent & the Grenadines has a total of five (5) airports, the Argyle International Airport is located on the mainland. Besides air transportation, there are daily ferry services between domestic islands. This includes Bequia, Mustique, Mayreau, Canouan, and Union Island. The smaller islands and cays are accessible through local water taxis and private boat tour agencies.
Domestic Travel
Travel between the mainland and the Grenadines has become much easier thanks to the wide range of transport services. The fast ferry, Jaden Sun, journeys from St. Vincent to Union Island with several stops along the way. Bequia Express voyages back and forth between the Kingstown port and Bequia five times a day. SVG Air flies to Bequia, Mustique, Union Island, and Canouan. All schedules and contact information can be found on their websites.
Regional Travel
Inter Caribbean, Caribbean Airlines, and Liat are some regional airlines that fly to St. Vincent on a daily basis from our neighbouring islands, Grenada, St. Lucia, Trinidad, and Barbados. Flight prices are relatively affordable for regional travel, plus, it's always convenient to have options if you ever decided to have a weekend getaway.
International Travel
St. Vincent recently opened the Argyle International Airport in 2017 in order to facilitate larger aircraft as it would improve the accessibility of the country and promote the tourism industry. On a weekly basis, St. Vincent currently has two flights on American Airlines from the Miami International airport (MIA), two from London Heathrow (LHR) with Virgin Atlantic, and two Air Canada flights from Pearson International (YYZ).
